Kenya Dental Project

Kenya Dental Project 2010

After some delays, struggles with fundraising, and customs challenges, the container finally arrived in Nairobi, Kenya at the Christian Life Worship Centre church property in November, 2009.

The container was filled with ministry donations such as used clothing, thousands of books, and, of course, dental equipment,

Pictured above is Trisha Hyodo, standing next to one of the libraries that our ministry built, using several thousands of the books that were on the container, which were donated by Faith Bible Church, The Lighthouse Christian Church, Cornerstone Church, and other friends from the Seattle area.

Mike Hyodo is pictured above handing out clothing from the container to orphans in Embu at the Graceworks Ministry

The work continues...you can help us to build more high-quality dental clinics to serve communities in Kenya with a tax-deductible donation to:

Thank you for standing with us in advancing the kingdom of God through tangible acts of love such as providing dental health-care for communities that have limited to no access to care. We love you. May God bless you abundantly.

TelPosta Towers Dental Clinic

Step by step we’re moving closer, little by little we’re taking ground...although it took over 4 months to receive permission from our building owners to do plumbing and drainage for a new dental clinic in our office which houses our ministry office and bible school, we are finally moving ahead to finish the work on our 8th dental clinic in Kenya. Pictured above is our clinic in progress which should be completed by May 2010. On the 13th floor in downtown Nairobi, our patients will have a wonderful view of the city while being treated with modern dentistry.

We want to thank everyone who helped to donate towards getting this container to Kenya. We appreciate your help to transport necessary equipment to Nairobi. Now we endeavor in the sweaty task of trying to build dental clinics in Kenya. The process will take time to complete as each project is a unique blend of diligence, perseverance, hard work, and prayer.

We were blessed to also begin the process of our first dental laboratory located at our World Ministries International mission house and dental clinic in the South C area of Nairobi. Complete with a porcelain oven, casting machine, and most dental lab equipment, we hope to soon complete this dental lab that will be able to fabricate crowns, bridges, dentures, and partials for our dental patients. We are still waiting on raising an additional $5,000 to pay for the final supplies and equipment to finish the lab and begin.

Making a difference one clinic at a time, one life at a time. Help us to lend a healing touch to the people in Kenya and put a smile on someone’s face today!
